The Salawati district is safe for navigation by KRI elements who will dock at the Koarmada III pier both during the inauguration of the pier and when supporting OMP / OMSP activities in the future. In addition, the hydro-oceanographic data obtained are used for positioning the positioning of navigation signs and will be used to create a special map of the shipping route to the Koormada III Pier, as well as to update the Indonesian Sea Map number 185, "said Kapushidrosal.
During 35 days the Pushidrosal survey team totaling 12 personnel under the leadership of Major Laut (P) Mustika Ari Wibowo AT, ST carry out survey activities which include; Determination of horizontal and vertical control points, Bathymetry Measurement, Shallow Investigation, Sub-Bottom Profile Measurement, Tidal Measurement, Flow Measurement, CTD Measurement, Sedimentation Measurement, Seabed Sampling, Determination of Sign Installation Position, Shipping Route Test, and Detailed Measurements Land for the Koarmada III complex.
"Updating the hydro-oceanographic data is absolutely necessary to increase the level of confidence / Category Zone Of Confident (CatZoc) and safety for KRI elements who will enter and exit to the Koarmada III pier," explained Kapushidrosal.
